Before you let anyone on your {city} roof

  1. Does the name on the bid match the name on the license exactly?
  2. Is the license active, and when does it expire?
  3. Does the company have a local address, or only a cell phone number and an out-of-state plate?
  4. Did they contact you first, unprompted, right after a storm?
  5. Are they asking for full payment, cash only, or a deposit before any paperwork is signed?
  6. Will they give you a written, itemized estimate before you commit to anything?
